French Ambassador calls on UCPN (Maoist) Chairman
Kathmandu, April 6: French Ambassador to Nepal, Yves Carmona, has called on UCPN (Maoist) Chairman, Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' today.
During the meeting held at Prachanda's residence at Lazimpat, the former prime minister asked about French view over the India-EU joint statement.
In response, Ambassador Carmona said that France has fully supported the new constitution of Nepal, according to the Prachanda's Secretariat.
On the occasion, Chairman Prachanda said that Nepali people themselves have become successful to establish peace, and in PLA integration and promulgating new constitution.
Stating that the new constitution has incorporated all communities, classes and groups, he said many issues would be revised in course constitution implementation.
The UCPN (Maoist) Chairman urged the French Ambassador to play a role to create environment for French companies to invest in Nepal, saying the country has moved ahead towards the path of economic development after the promulgation of new constitution.
In response, Ambassador Carmona said that French companies are also interested to invest in Nepal.
