NC President confident Constitution Amendment Bill will be endorsed
Morang, Dec 2: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has expressed his confidence that the second constitution amendment bill registered at the Legislature-Parliament Secretariat last Tuesday will be endorsed by the absolute majority.
Speaking to journalists at the Biratnagar Airport at Biratnagar today, NC President Deuba reiterated that although few political parties have expressed their displeasure over some issues covered in the Bill, it will be eventually endorsed by absolute majority.
He said it was not a right time to agitate, arguing that the agitation would not resolve the issues rather incite the problems.
Responding to the queries of the journalists on local level election, the former Prime Minister stated that all the political parties have agreed to it and election process would start once the Local Level Restructuring Commission submits its report.
The government has finally introduced the revised Constitution of Nepal (Second Amendment) Bill 2074 to the parliament.
