60 unruly arrested on special Holi security screening
Ratnanagar (Chitwan), March 13: Police arrested at least 60 people in course of special security screening carried out in Chitwan district for maintaining law and order on the occasion of Holi festival on Sunday.
The Chitwan District Police shared that in course of security crackdown police nabbed some 60 people for being involved in unlawful and unwanted activities such as violating traffic rules, drunk driving and consumption of intoxicated substances.
The police squads mobilized in different parts of the district under the Holi Special Security Plan arrested the unruly revelers on Sunday, according to Superintendant of Police (SP) at Chitwan District Police, Deepak Thapa.
As many as 378 police were mobilized, 27 check points were set up, security screening was performed in seven sites and police with plain cloth were mobilized across the district on Sunday. RSS
