60 – year – old still unaccounted for

Rajbiraj, August 11: A local middle-aged man missing in the Khando river located at Deuribharuwa of Rajbiraj municipality – 15 still remains unaccounted for days after his disappearance.

A team of security personnel continued the search for 60 – year – old Domi Yadav this morning.

Yadav went missing after getting buried in a mound of mud while trying to control an embankment breached by the flooded Khando river along with the security personnel.

Following the incident, Chief District Officer, Krishna Bahadur Katuwal along with personnel from Nepal Army, Nepal Police and the Armed Police Force (APF) reached the site to search for Yadav.

The floodwater from the river has inundated at least 400 houses at two sections in Rajbiraj along with Birol, Dumari Shivathan, Kajoli, Didhawa, Topa, Mansapur, Sakarpura, Loniya and Tilathi villages. RSS
