Nagma faces early exit from Miss Universe

Kathmandu, Nov 28:Nepal suffered an early exit from the first round of the 66th Miss Universe beauty pageant held at Las Vegas, United State of America (USA), on late Sunday.
Nepal failed to mark its maiden participation at the international beauty contest as Nepal's representative Nagma Shrestha failed to perform well in the pageant.
Shrestha failed to secure her spot at the top 16 of the gala. Altogether 92 girls from the world participated in the pageant.
Shrestha was crowned as the first Miss Nepal Universe held to mark the 22nd anniversary of the Hidden Treasure and 23rd anniversary of Miss Nepal held at Hotel Annapurna in September
She represented Nepal in Miss Earth 2012, and became the first Nepali to reach the finale of an international pageant.
She had finished third runner up in World Miss University 2016 held in China and won the best tourism video in Miss Eco Universe 2016 held in Egypt.
Shrestha is the first woman to represent Nepal at the Miss Universe.
