Biratnagar Warriors beats Bhairahawa Gladiators by eight wickets
Kathmandu, Dec 27: The Biratnagar Warriors has made it to the finals in the Everest Premier League (EPL) twenty20 cricket tournament by beating Bhairahawa Gladiators by eight wickets in a match today at Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground.
Invited to bat first after losing the toss, the Gladiators set a 128-run target for the Warriors to be achieved in 17.2 overs at the loss of two wickets.
As for Warriors, Babar Hyat made the highest 62 runs off 44 balls including five sixes and four boundaries. Likewise, captain Paras Khadka scored 41 runs and Amshuman Rath 26 runs, both not out.
The Gladiators played the stipulated 20 overs to score 127 runs at the loss of eight wickets.
Punit Mehera made the highest 49 runs, while Aarif Shekh 46 runs. For the Warriors, Shahan Aadisa Aapuhami and Karan KC took two wickets each. Likewise, Khadka, Abinash Karna and Basanta Regmi picked up one wicket each. The Warriors's Hyat was declared man of the match in the match.
