Sukarma to make musical presentation in Lahore today
Kathmandu, March 12: Popular musical band of Nepal, Sukarma, is presenting a musical performance in Lahore, Pakistan, today.
In the programme to be organised by Nepali embassy in Pakistan, Sukarma will present around a dozen musical compositions blending classical and folk rhythms.
Dr. Dhrubesh Chandra Regmi will play the Sitara, Pandit Hom Nath Upadhyaya will play the Tabela, while Bharat Nepali will be in the Sarangi and Umesh Pandit in the flute for the musical performance.
Earlier, the musical team had performed at Pakistan National Council of Art (PNCA), Islamabad, amidst a good number of participants from Pakistan government officials as well as diplomats from other countries.
Welcoming the participants of the musical show in which a documentary that aimed to promote Nepal's tourism was also presented, Nepalese ambassador to Pakistan, Bharat Raj Paudel, provided a brief introduction about Nepal's cultural as well as aesthetic heritages.
According to a statement by the Nepali embassy, the musical performance has been organised to promote Nepali art and culture.
