NCC felicitates chief ministers
Kathmandu, Mar.14: Nepal Chamber of Commerce (NCC) honoured chief ministers of all seven provinces amidst a function here on Wednesday.
The NCC felicitated the chief ministers with the slogan of ‘Opportunities for economic prosperity in federal structure’.
On the occasion, the chief ministers committed to moving ahead in coordination and cooperation with the private sector to achieve the goal of economic prosperity in the country.
They said that there was no possibility of developing the country without cooperation from the private sector.
Chief Minister of Province No. 1 Sherdhan Rai said that the country has moved on the path of prosperity following the successful completion of elections to the local bodies, state assemblies and House of Representatives.
Chief Minister of Province No. 2 Mohammad Lal Babu Raut Gaddhi stressed the need for investment of the private sector for the economic development of the country.
Chief Minister of Province No. 3 Dormani Poudel said that actions, not the tall talks, were the need of the hour.
Likewise, Chief Minister of Province No. 4 Prithvi Subbha Gurung said that the problem of employees was noticed in the provinces.
Province No. 5 Chief Minister Shankar Pokharel said economic prosperity was the single agenda of the governments both in the centre and province levels.
Similarly, Chief Minister of Province No. 6 Mahendra Bahadur Shahi and Province No.7 Trilochan Bhatta urged the private sector to increase their investment in the potential sectors.
NCC president Rajesh Kazi Shrestha drew the attention of the chief ministers to support the investors of the potential sectors in the local levels.
“Investors are willing to invest where more facilities are available. Investment will create job opportunities and increase revenue," he said.
Stating that the tourism, hydropower, agriculture, mine, and herbs are the potential areas of investment in all provinces, he said the government should promote and invest in the sectors where there are high potentialities.
He said that Chamber has planned to start mega economic dialogue with the local levels with the coordination of the government bodies.
