Nepal in Pembangunan Jaya Raya Junior Grand prix 2018
Kathmandu, April 1: Nepal is also competing in the Pembangunan Jaya Raya Junior Grand prix 2018 being held in Jakarta, Indonesia starting April 3.
The Grand Prix is a regional badminton tournament organised by Badminton Asia, a government body of the badminton sport in Asia under the flagship of the Badminton World Federation.
Badminton players from 28 countries are taking part in the tournament and Nepal is being represented by Rukesh Maharjan, who will compete in the U-19 category.
Meanwhile, the two-member team including Maharjan and his manager Binod Basnet were bade farewell by Nepal Olympic Committee Chair Jeevan Ram Shrestha and President of Nepal Badminton Association Ramji Bahadur Shrestha. Maharjan and his manager Basnet are scheduled to leave for Indonesia today.
