Disaster Management Fund to be established at all local levels of Parbat
Parbat, April 11: Disaster Management Fund is going to be established at all local levels of Parbat district.
Chief District Officer, Rajesh Panthi, said that preparation was underway to establish such fund at all local levels with an objective of providing immediate relief to victims of natural disaster.
A joint meeting of the District Disaster Management Fund and Mayor and Deputy-Mayors of local levels decided to establish the fund at all seven local levels of the district. Every local level would establish the fund after making arrangement of internal resources.
Similarly, the meeting also decided purchase disaster management materials required for all three security bodies from Rs 100,000 received from District Coordination Committee. The meeting also decided to form Disaster management Committee at all local levels as per Disaster Management Working procedure-2074 BS.
Likewise, the meeting also took the decision to keep fire engine of Kushma municipality in a ready position.
On the occasion, Rs 300,000 relief amount was provided to families of three persons who lost their lives in natural disaster in this current fiscal year as well as Rs 144,000 was provided to 22 families, whose houses and crops were damaged in natural disaster. The relief amount was provided from the fund of Disaster Management Committee, said Assistant Chief District Officer, Dilli Ram Sharma.
