Pramila’s exhibit to last till June 24

Kathmandu, June. 10; Pramila Pariyar BK’s solo painting exhibition is continuing at Nepal Art Council, Babar Mahal, from Friday.
It is her first solo exhibition, which displays more than two dozen artworks.
The exhibition was inaugurated by veteran sculptor Kalu Kumale amid a function yesterday. The six-day exhibition is scheduled to conclude on June 14.
During the inauguration ceremony, senior artists and art critics Ramesh Khanal and Mukesh Malla shared their views of the paintings and the themes and techniques used by the artist.
On the occasion, fine artist and her husband Nar Bahadur BK had given a welcome speech.
“Her paintings include abstract and semi-abstract forms. Whether it is about the relationship of husband and wife or love between mother and daughter, each one of these paintings, carries out its own essence and story,” artist and art critic Keshab Raj Khanal said.
Khanal further said, “The story of nature and the dawn of life have been drawn blissfully on the paintings.”
Talking to The Rising Nepal, artist Pariyar BK said as a strong representation of feminine existence, she had basically tried to illustrate a subject that had to do with the awareness of her own existence.
