Nepal-Israel relations lauded
Kathmandu, Aug 28: Ambassador of Israel to Nepal Benni Omer has said on Tuesday that Nepal-Israel relations have contributed to the development of both the countries.
Addressing the fifth convention of Nepal Journalists Forum here, Omer said that Nepal could learn a lot from the farming technologies being applied in Israel. He said a few Nepali youth had returned to Nepal by learning the farming technologies in Israel.
Chairman of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) Govinda Acharya stressed on the need for practising responsible journalism to safeguard federal democratic republic in Nepal.
Meanwhile, a new executive committee of the Forum was elected under the leadership of Yubaraj Bidrohi.
Lalitdhoj Khadka was elected vice president, Bimal Kumar Thapa general secretary, Pritam Sagar Karmacharya secretary and Yagya Dhakal treasurer in the new 17-member committee.
Likewise, 12 members, including Bishnu Lal Shrestha, Raju Bhandari, Prajwal Thapa and Sunita Lohani were elected in the committee.
