NRB to issue Treasury Bills worth Rs. 4.26 billion
Kathmandu, Sept. 7: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) is issuing Treasury Bills worth Rs. 4.26 billion on September 10, Monday.
The Public Debt Management Department, under the central bank, is going to issue 91 and 364-day Treasury Bills to obtain internal loans on behalf of the government.
The NRB will sell 91-day Treasury Bills worth Rs. 2.26 billion and 364-day Treasury Bills worth Rs. 2 billion through auction, according to the Treasury Bill Auction notice of the bank.
The bank said that the interested parties would have to submit their sealed auction trading application by 3 pm on September 10, Monday.
The bidders must apply through the Online Bidding System (OBS) only. The allocated amount will be settled through the NRB Bank Account, it said.
The bank said that the Treasury Bills would be allocated on September 11, Tuesday.
“Discount earning is taxable. Out of the total offered amount, 15 per cent has been reserved for non-competitive bidders,” the notice said.
The 91-day Treasury Bill will mature on December 11 and 364-day Treasury Bill on September 10, 2019.
