Athletes to have a life with dignity

Banepa, Dec 2: National Sports Council Member-Secretary Keshav Kumar Bista has said that the athletes will be able to live a life with dignity after their days in sport.

Speaking at the concluding function of the first Indo-Nepal Open Full Contact Karate competition here on Saturday, he said the NSC is coming up with a plan for better livelihood of the athletes in the country.

He also noted of the provision for pension for welfare works of the athletes and the preparation for a sports university.

On the occasion, Bista also gave away medals and certificates to the winners of the competition. Altogether 175 karate athletes from India and Nepal took part in the two-day event.
