BITM preparations in final stage
Kathmandu, Jan 8: All the preparations for Buddhist International Travel Mart (BITM) going to be organised for the first time in Nepal have reached the final stage.
The event, chaired by Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, is being led by Nepal Association of Travel and Tour Agent (NATTA) with Nepal Tourism Board as the organiser partner.
The three-day mart is taking place in Lumbini from January 10 with an objective of developing Lumbini as the world's one of the most important tourism destinations.
General Secretary of NATTA, Ramesh Thapa, said that more than 150 domestic and foreign tourism entrepreneurs would participate in the mart.
According to NATTA, the mart would help promote tourism, religious and archeological importance of different places including Lumbini, Bhairahawa, Tansen, Palpa, Taulihawa, Rangram, Devdaha and Kapilvastu.
Different activities including B2B session as well as discussion various issues including promotion of domestic tourism promotion would take place in the mart.
