Nepal’s Kali Bahadur wins international Hap-Ki-Do award
Kathmandu, April 29: Nepal Hap-Ki- Do Association chair Kali Bahadur Gharti Magar has won the ‘International Hapkido Masters of the Year Award -2019’. The Self Defense Germany Federation conferred the award on him amidst a programme held in Munich, Germany on Saturday night, the National Sports Council (NSC) confirmed.
Magar was re-elected to the Association leadership in 2074 BS. Upon receiving the award, he said his achievement was a matter of pride for the entire Nepali and martial arts players.
Hapkido is the martial art of balancing energy and it is a special kind of self-defensive art game. This is mandatory in military and police in Korea. NP Maharjan is credited for introducing this mixed martial art game in Nepal in 2055 BS, the Association said.
