By A Staff Reporter

Kathmandu, June 13: Chief of the Army Staff (CoAS) General Purna Chandra Thapa is scheduled to leave for a week-long official visit to the People’s Republic of China on June 16.
The Nepali Army Headquarters as of June 12 has, however, not made the visit’s itinerary of the army chief public.
“We are not confirm about the itinerary of the army chief as of Wednesday, but he is sure to make his second international visit to China on June 16, after he took the charge as the army chief,” Bigyan Dev Pandey, Nepali Army spokesperson and Director at the Directorate of Public Relations and Information (DPR&I), told The Rising Nepal.
The cabinet meeting held a week ago had endorsed the visit of CoAS Thapa, Pandey said.
