Nepal thrashes China by 10 wickets in ACC U-19 Eastern Region Cricket Tournament
Kathmandu, July 3: Nepal has played it in style in the first match of the ongoing ACC U-19 Eastern Region Cricket Tournament in Malaysia as it beat China by a wide margin of 10 wickets at Kuala Lumpur-based Kinrara Academy Oval. With this win, Nepal has entered semi-finals, sending China packing.
Invited to bat first after losing the toss, China set a paltry target of 54 runs against Nepal, which it achieved in five overs not losing any wicket. For Nepal, Pawan Sarraf hit highest 46 runs for 21 with three sixes and six boundaries. Likewise, Rit Gautam remained undefeated on 10.
China made only 53 runs in 23.1 overs losing all wickets. For Nepal, Sagar Dhakal claimed six wickets singlehandedly, while Tilak Bhandari contributed three. Likewise, Kamal Singh Airee got one. Nepal will play the final match under group phase against Singapore on July 5.
