Sanima Group launches Akama Hotel

Kathmandu, Aug. 13: Hotel Akama Monday announced its formal opening at Dhumbarahi of Kathmandu.Akama is promoted by the Sanima Group.

“We have developed Akama Hotel as a modern and upscale destination in the capital city of Kathmandu providing the highest level of comfort and service for our guests,” said RajuShrestha, General Manager of the hotel.
Shrestha said that the Sanima Group introduced Akama as a fusion of local Newari and Himalayan cultures with the motto of developing Nepal as a tourist destination in the world.
Akama Hotel is state-of-art property offering world class facilities in the heart of Kathmandu which exudes splendor and sophistication at every level, Shrestha said.

The hotel is conveniently located in close proximity to key attractions such Thamel (4 km), Swayambhunath (8 km), International Airport (4 km), Pashupatinath Temple (3 km), Boudhanath (3 km) as well as other important business hubs and tourist attractions.
Accommodation at Hotel Akama combines contemporary design with a local touch to create an atmosphere that is modern and exclusive, yet intimate and familiar, said Kaushal Kumar Singh, marketing manager of the hotel.
The hotel has altogether 108 rooms, including 95 superior rooms, six deluxe rooms, four deluxe suites, two family suits and a presidential suite.
Hotel rooms offer a diverse range of accommodations designed to suit the varying needs of our guest, he said.
To ensure safety of guests, the hotel comprises safety feature such as water sprinkler in time of fire, smoke detector and public announcement system in the time of emergency, Singh said.
The hotel also offers five meeting spaces capable of catering for a variety of programs for up to 500 people.
