Four major political parties decide to give space to people's suggestions
Kathmandu, Aug. 12: The four major political parties have concluded that space should be given to people's genuine and meaningful suggestions regarding important issues like delineation of federal states.
Today's meeting of four major political parties held at Constituent Assembly Building at New Baneshwor arrived at this conclusion.
On the occasion, CPN (UML) Chairman KP Sharma Oli said that genuine suggestions of the people could be addressed in various stages as suggestions regarding the preliminary draft of the constitution are still being received.
Chair Oli said, "We are ready to give room to the genuine and meaningful suggestions. Discussion is underway in this regard. This has also been explicated by issuing a joint press release on Tuesday. Suggestions have also been received from the CA. All suggestions will be properly addressed."
Leaders participating in the meeting said that an arrangement has been made to bring people's genuine suggestions at the centre through their respective channels.
The meeting analyzed the situation that has developed at different places of the country after delineation of federal states. It also held serious discussion regarding further course of action in this regard.
Present on the occasion were Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President, Sushil Koirala, CPN (UML) Chairman Oli, UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Chairman of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Loktantrik) Bijay Kumar Gachchhadar, among others.
