Hunting banned for wildlife preservation
Myagdi, Sept 17: Wildlife hunting has been prohibited in local forests for preserving wild species in Dasnam VDC, ward numbers 7, 8 and 9 of Myagdi district.
A two-day meeting of the village held on Monday and Tuesday decided to prohibit hunting in nearby local forests noting that unchecked hunting has posed serious threat to wildlife, said Karna Chhetri, a local.
The village meeting decided to prevent hunting of animals in local forests at Thulochaur, Dobilla, Kotitel, Fultang, Dobato, Kanjarikhola, Thulobhir Ban and area cross Rahughat rivulet, he added. RSS
