President says she will remain active for nat'l unity, social goodwill
Kathmandu, Nov. 9: President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has said that she would remain active to strengthen national unity by maintaining the entire country's social goodwill, considering the constitution's supremacy.
At the felicitation and greetings exchange programme organised by the National Women's Commission (NWC) at the Office of the President in Shitwal Niwas today, President Bhandari said that she would honestly fulfill her responsibilities along with the implementation of the new constitution.
"I will work as per the sentiments of all Nepalis in favour of their unity along with the development of nation and nationality by using the rights given by the new constitution," she said.
The President also stressed for moving ahead on the path of economic, social and cultural development by ending the discrimination in the society.
On the occasion, Spokesperson of the NWC Manu Humagain congratulated the President for her election to the post in such a challenging time and wished for the successful tenure of President Bhandari.
